1. Personal Background: Brigette Lacombe is a French photographer living in New York City. Brigette never finished school. Instead she went to work at the black and white lab of Elle in Paris. The Elle magazine was her first breakthrough that made her so big as a photographer. In 2009 Brigette published a 420 page book called “Lacombe anima|persona” that was a retrospective book of photography. Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are the reason why Brigette Lacombe is working with some of the most craved film sets and photo shoots around the world.
2. Style: Brigette works behind films taking portraits of famous people and making posters out of their portraits to help the film. Brigette also worked with travel photography. She has been in more than a 20 year contract with Conde Nast Travel magazine, shooting in Omah, Cuba, Haiti, Senegal, Monambique, Paris, Sarajevo, and India. I feel in Brigette Lacombe’s work she was trying to show the plain side of some celebrities or them being themself not just always them looking good and wearing the right clothing and makeup. I feel that Brigette Lacombes work shows the beauty in a person without trying to cover up their pure beauty with makeup. She shows the regular side of a celebrity.
3. Philosophy: Brigette Lacombe was trying to show “The human side” of celebrities in her work. Brigette Lacomb is a social and personal photographer. She takes potraits of lots of singers, actresses, models, directors, etc. For her social career she works with films and movies all around the world. In 2011 Brigette Lacombe did a project called I am Film staring.. Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep and Quentin Tarantino. The point of the project was to introduce the emerging filmmakers of the Middle East. Her work also captures people when doing their regular schedule not always posed on purpose.
4. Influences: Brigette Lacomb has helped me see how to correctly take a potrait photo and when taking it and to mix it up and make it look good. She showed me that you don’t always need a ready to go picture and set up a ton of things for it, you can just take the photo how the person is. Brigette Lacombe got me really intrested in doing rap stars photography like.. Travis Scott,Vic mensa, etc. She inspires me to go possibly to an art school and learn how to take professional potrait photography. Brigette Lacombe also helps me see how the lighting, color, and positoning all matters for the background of the potraits.

One thing these two images have in common is they are both in black and white.Another comparison is both of their faces are very calm but serious. A contrast between the two photos is Asia Chow has bangs while my step mom doesn't. A last difference is my step moms face is more long than Asia Chow.

One thing that these two images have in common is their faces are both the same size and shape. A second comparison they have is their clothes are the same, they both have on a grey v neck. One difference they is the background color. A last difference they have is the makeup and skin color. Yeonmi is very light while my step mom is a lot more tan.

One thing these two images have in common is the pose. Both my step mom and Maggie Cheung are in the same position. Another thing they have in common is their size. They both look like they are the same weight and around the same height. A contrast between the two images is the outfits. Since my step mom couldn't find a red tank top and a black skirt, she choose to grab and outfit with both colors. A last difference is the stairs. We don't have red stairs so we had to do our regular stair case color.
